Kyle Eastwood
Kyle Eastwood, the son of Hollywood-legend and jazz-fan Clint Eastwood, is an accomplished jazz-bassist in his own right. Growing up on the Monterey Peninsula he was exposed to jazz-music from his early youth on (meeting jazz-stars such as Miles Davis, Sarah Vaughan and many more in person at the Monterey Jazz Festival). Eastwood started playing the guitar in his early teens but turned to the bass when he was 18. By the age of 23 he led his own band "West Quintet". In 1998 he then released "From There To Here" - his debut recording as a leader for Sony Music, which put him on the map as a recording and performing artist with worldwide concert tours. He also composed the score for several of his father´s movies, e.g. "Mystic River", "Million Dollar Baby", "Grand Torino", "Flags of our Fathers", "The Rookie", "Changeling" and "Letters from Iwo Jima".
