Dan Berglund

Swedish bassist Dan Berglund became known worldwide as one of the members of e.s.t., probably the most influential jazz band of the last decade. Esbjörn Svensson (piano) and Magnus Öström (drums) were his congenial partners in this trio of equals, that changed the way jazz is listened to and played today.

After the untimely and tragic death of Esbjörn Svensson Dan Berglund formed his own band, TONBRUKET, for which he also composes. Besides Dan Berglund, Tonbruket consists of Johan Lindstroem (guitars), Martin Hederos (piano) and Andreas Werliin (drums). 

One of Dan Berglund´s trademarks is the amazing warm, round and full tone that he can create on his instrument as well as the usage of lots of effects to change and enhance the double bass sound.
